FOX Sports Arizona to Provide Plenty of Friday Night Lights

Arizona High School Football Huddle
Arizona high school fans can look forward to eight games this season on FOX Sports Arizona. The Farmers Game of the Week will begin September 17th with three-time defending champ Scottsdale Saguaro hosting Peoria. All eight games will be broadcast live.
Here's the broadcast schedule...all games start at 7 P.M.:
Thursday, Sept. 17 Peoria at Scottsdale Saguaro
Thursday, Sept. 24 Millennium at Centennial
Friday, Oct. 2 Chandler at Hamilton
Friday, Oct. 9 Greenway at Paradise Valley

Brophy Prep Featured on Toyota's The Line of Scrimmage on NBC

Defending Arizona 5A Division I champ Brophy Prep (Phoenix, AZ) was featured Sunday during halftime of the Steelers/Browns game on NBC's Sunday Night Football as part of Toyota's The Line of Scrimmage.
This year The Line of Scrimmage is showcasing "The Gutsiest High School Football Teams in America". Brophy Prep was chosen because of it’s ability to deal with extreme heat. They also have a weekly ceremony where the team pledges individual commitments during the game that week.
The second part of the two :45 second documentaries on Brophy will air Sunday during halftime of the Dallas/Green Bay game on NBC.

Brophy Prep Featured on Toyota's The Line of Scrimmage on NBC

The spirit of high school football will once again be shining in Prime Time as Toyota's The Line of Scrimmage returns to NBC this year as part of the Sunday Night Football Halftime Show.
This year's The Line of Scrimmage will feature some of the gutsiest high football teams in the country in 45-second documentary shorts. The Line of Scrimmage travels around the country is a Toyota Tundra profiling eight teams. Some of the stories this year will be...a team that endures brutal weather conditions, one that plays only away-games because it doesn’t have a home field and a team that remains extremely focused despite having parents deployed in Iraq.
This is the third year of The Line of Scrimmage, and it all begins tonight at the halftime of the Steelers/Browns game on NBC with the first part of the Brophy Prep Broncos from Phoenix, Arizona. Other schools that will be featured are: Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons (Parkersburg, IA), Maryland School for the Deaf (Frederick, MD), Cathedral Fighting Irish (Indianapolis, IN), Smith Golden Bulls (Fayetteville, NC), Sunshine Tigers (Newbern, AL) and the Big Piney Punchers (Big Piney WY).

#22 Hamilton Beaten in Battle of Arizona Powers

Centennial (Peoria, AZ) made it's case that's it's the best team in Arizona with a solid 35-16 win over nationally-ranked Hamilton (Chandler, AZ) Friday night.
Hamilton, which beat Florida power Booker T. Washington to open the season and Brophy Prep last week, entered the game ranked #22 by USA Today. Centennial is now 2-0 on the season, while Hamilton falls to 2-1.

Brophy Prep Captures Arizona 5A Division I Title
For the second time in the last three years, Brophy Prep is the top big school team in Arizona.
Brophy Prep beat Desert Vista Saturday 34-21 to claim the title. Brophy was led by senior quarterback Bryan Berens, who also was the starting QB in 2005. Berens completed 15 of 27 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns.

#12 Hamilton Upset in Arizona Semis
Defending Arizona 5A Division I state champ Hamilton (Chandler, AZ) won't be back in Phoenix next week to defend its title.
Brophy Prep (11-2) beat Hamilton 24-14 in the rain Friday night in the state semis. Brophy will play Desert Vista in next week's championship game.
